A Paralegal partners closely with the lead departmental paralegal, in-house counsel, and external counsel to support and drive litigation matters through to resolution, while also providing comprehensive administrative support to the Legal Department. Success in this role requires strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of management. Responsibilities:
Draft and review legal pleadings, briefs, and written discovery for review and use by in-house and outside counsel. Compile and organize documents and information responsive to discovery requests
Manage service of process and response calendaring for Michels family of companies
Assist with day-to-day management of litigation matters and maintaining internal claims databases
Perform research on, implement, and maintain legal department policies and procedures
Provide administrative support to department: schedule meetings, process mail, assist with correspondence, make copies, maintain standard department materials, and manage distribution
Assist department personnel in the preparation, editing, and transmittal of documents, correspondence, and presentations
Qualifications:
3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination
Intermediate knowledge of law
Experience with Microsoft Office suite and DocuSign
