Position Overview
The Department of Political Science at Marquette University invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track Teaching Faculty position in the area of political theory. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in political theory. This includes introductory courses (e.g., POSC 2801: Justice and Power) as well as advanced courses on modern and contemporary political theory.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include developing, implementing, and instructing four course sections in political philosophy each semester, including sections of POSC 2801: Justice and Power, as well as upper-level courses in modern and contemporary political theory.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Earned doctorate or a terminal degree. Five years of teaching experience or other suitable professional experience.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience in undergraduate teaching and curriculum development in political theory is strongly preferred.
