Support the Hartman Literacy and Learning Center and the Summer Reading Program by assisting Hartman Center Director and Program Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities Provide support to Hartman Center Director and Program Coordinator, supporting the summer reading program and general Hartman Center operations. Perform a variety of office tasks and library related tasks, including making copies, assisting with bulletin boards/displays, organizing instructional materials, checking in and out library books, shelving books, and other duties as assigned. Assist with daily update of attendance spreadsheet for children in summer reading program and other record-keeping tasks. Assist with supervision of children throughout the program day, including on the bus, during drop off and pick up, and during recess and enrichment activities. Assist program coordinator and other staff in serving lunches and snacks to program participants. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with the program staff, partner schools staff, and children Good oral and written communication skills Good organizational skills Must be able to pass a background check as the position works with minors Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience working with elementary-aged children is a plus.
