ASSEMBLER - SWITCH

We are looking for an Assembler who will report to the General Supervisor, Switch, and who’ll be tasked with supporting the assembly of the Switch pontoon.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Prepare work to be accomplished by studying standard work instructions, quality alerts, specifications, and parts list
    • Ensure parts, subassemblies, tools and materials are present prior to the start of shift
  • Conduct check-do-check & pre-work safety checklist
  • Follow standard work instructions precisely; comply with process order provided within instructions & comply with tools, materials and supplies provided within instructions
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
    • Notify Team Lead of any deviation observed with SWI
  • Keep equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
  • Maintain safe & clean working environment by complying with 5S procedures, rules & regulations
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level throughout shift
  • Ability to identify 7 wastes and utilize ESP program to report those observations regularly
  • Maintain tools, documents, cleanliness according to process quality standards 100% of the time
  • Perform Daily 5S audit before end of shift and document finding on checklist
  • Participate in SWI and Quality Alert approval process when required

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Required:

  • At least 3 months of asssembly eperience working with large plastic parts
  • Mechanical Apptitude
  • 1 year of solid work history with good standing in current role
  • Ability to work in a team setting
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Demonstrated positive attitude

Preferred:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience assembling marine products (Switch)
